Toyota's India luxury hybrid MPV since 26 February 2020 (CBU from Japan). Two generations on the map: second-generation AH30 26 February 2020 (2.5 self-charging hybrid, E-Four) and the current 3 August 2023 AH40 third-generation Vellfire (TNGA-K, 2.5 self-charging hybrid). Hi and VIP Executive Lounge grades on the AH40; Lexus LM is the upscale twin, not a Vellfire generation. Alphard is not sold in India. One official India recall on the AH40 body (4 November 2025, Panoramic View Monitor ECU; shared with Camry / Land Cruiser). India launch: 26 February 2020.

Defect
TKM / SIAM / error in the Parking Assist ECU software of the Panoramic View Monitor (360° camera). Rear-view image may freeze briefly if reverse is selected within a specific time after ignition on, or may not display on the next ignition cycle if ignition is cycled within a specific time. No related incidents reported in India at announcement.
What was changed
Free reprogramming of the Parking Assist ECU software at authorised Toyota dealers. TKM said dealers would contact owners.
