Toyota's first India mid-size SUV since the 1 July 2022 unveil and 9 September 2022 first prices, the Toyota-badged twin of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara on Suzuki's Global C platform, built at Toyota Kirloskar Bidadi. One generation in India so far; no facelift on sale as of 19 August 2026 (a late-2026 refresh is only reported). NeoDrive 1.5 mild-hybrid, Toyota strong hybrid and factory CNG. Defect
TKM: possible issue with the airbag controller assembly (Controller Assy Airbag), shared campaign with Glanza. Initial estimate 1,390 Hyryder+Glanza units; after study TKM limited the Hyryder/campaign scope to 552. No reported failures of the part in India at announcement. Owners asked to minimise usage until replaced.

Urban Cruiser Hyryder analogue fuel-level indicator / combination meter

Defect
SIAM / TKM / on gasoline variants with an analogue fuel gauge, in certain conditions the gauge may not show the correct tank level and the low-fuel warning lamp may not glow, so the engine may stop/stall from a no-fuel condition. Same family of issue as the Grand Vitara combination-meter campaign.
What was changed
Inspect and replace the combination meter if found faulty, free of charge. TKM said dealers would contact owners. VIN check at toyotabharat.com/q-service/safety-recall/.
