India's volume three-row MPV since 24 February 2005, built by Toyota Kirloskar at Bidadi. Replaced the Qualis. Three generations in India: body-on-frame IMV Innova (2005), Innova Crysta (2016), and unibody TNGA Innova Hycross (2022, current volume Innova). First-gen had three India styling facelifts (2009, 2012, 2013); Crysta had a November 2020 facelift, a January 2023 diesel-only reintroduction sold alongside Hycross, and a 4 June 2026 refresh — Crysta is still on sale in 2026, with reporting an expected CAFE-3 exit around March 2027. SIAM/Toyota-Kirloskar sales bucket toyota-kirloskar-innova may combine Crysta + Hycross. Hyryder is a Grand Vitara twin, not an Innova. Maruti Invicto is the rebadged Hycross, tracked separately. India launch: 24 February 2005.

LowTICO diesel certification irregularity (Jan 2024 dispatch halt)Certification / Official (all India 2GD/1GD diesels then in production)
Toyota Kirloskar 29 January 2024: Toyota Industries (TICO) found irregularities in horsepower certification tests on three diesel engines used in India on Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Hilux — 'smoothing' of power/torque curves, not overstated outputs, and TKM said no impact on emissions or safety. Dispatch of affected models was temporarily suspended while data was re-confirmed with authorities; TKM 8 February 2024 said diesel engines meet Indian regulations and dispatch of Crysta, Fortuner and Hilux resumed. Not a vehicle recall; existing owners were told their cars were unaffected.
