Nexa-channel 6-seat crossover MPV since 21 August 2019, an Ertiga-based line extension (captain seats, unique nose and cladding). One generation, two bodies on the map: the original 21 August 2019 look (K15B SHVS 105 hp / 138 Nm + 5MT/4AT) and the 21 April 2022 facelift (Crafted Futurism X-bar grille, K15C Dualjet SHVS, 6AT paddles). Factory S-CNG from 3 November 2022 on Zeta 5MT. Six airbags made standard 23 July 2025. Ertiga is the related Arena 7-seat sibling, not an XL6 generation. Indonesia XL7 facelift is not on sale in India as of 19 August 2026. Two official India MGU campaigns on the original body (63,493 Ciaz/Ertiga/XL6 SHVS, 6 December 2019; 181,754 Ciaz/Ertiga/Brezza/S-Cross/XL6, 3 September 2021). Ertiga-based crossover MPV with a unique nose: larger hexagonal grille with twin chrome slats, quad-LED headlamps and LED DRLs, chunkier bumper and faux skid plate, black cladding, blacked-out 15-inch alloys and mirror caps, roof rails.
Possible defect in the Motor Generator Unit (MGU) during manufacturing by an overseas global part supplier on petrol Smart Hybrid (SHVS) Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6.
What was changed
Maruti dealers contact owners from 6 December 2019; inspect; vehicles found OK released immediately; faulty MGU replaced free of cost. Alternate mobility may be arranged. VIN check on marutisuzuki.com Important Customer Info (MA3 + 14-digit chassis).
Possible safety defect in the Motor Generator Unit on some petrol variants of Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and XL6.
What was changed
