Facelift generation map
India's longest-running tall-boy hatchback. Three generations since 18 December 1999; Maruti says over 32 lakh sold by December 2024, including about 6.6 lakh factory CNG. India's best-selling car in FY22–FY24. First two gens tracked the Japanese Wagon R; from 2019 the Indian car is a wider HEARTECT model, no longer a kei clone. Factory CNG (and earlier LPG Duo) is a powertrain, not a separate generation. India launch: 18 December 1999.
