Facelift generation map
India's volume sporty hatchback since 25 May 2005, sold at Maruti Arena. Four generations in India; each of the first three had one mid-cycle update (2010 was a K-series engine swap on the same body, not a styling facelift; 2014 and 2021 were styling facelifts). The 2024 model is a new generation, not a facelift. Dzire is the related sedan sibling, not a Swift generation. Factory CNG is a powertrain, not a generation. Swift Sport was never sold as an India retail model. India launch: 25 May 2005.
