Owner-reported or cited issues for this generation, not official recalls.
MediumRear drum-brake grating / early pad-shoe wearMechanical / Occasional

An owner thread on a 2012-era Ertiga VDi documents rear crankshaft oil-seal leakage. Maruti inspected a notched crankshaft journal; the case ended in a full engine replacement. Isolated but documented on the Fiat-sourced 1.3. Inspect the bell-housing/sump area on used diesels.
