India's volume sub-4-metre compact SUV since 8 March 2016, sold at Maruti Arena (never Nexa). First Suzuki fully conceptualised, designed and developed in India (YF on Suzuki Global C; 98% localisation). Two generations: 2016 diesel-only Vitara Brezza, 24 February 2020 petrol facelift (diesel dropped for BS6), then 30 June 2022 renamed Brezza as a second generation (YH) on the same Global C shell that Maruti now markets as TECT — not HEARTECT (that is Baleno/Fronx). Factory S-CNG from 17 March 2023 is a powertrain, not a generation. First comprehensive update of gen 2 is the 24 July 2026 facelift (1.0 Boosterjet turbo). Toyota Urban Cruiser was the 2020–2022 rebadge of the gen-1 facelift, not a Brezza generation. ICOTY 2017; over 7.5 lakh by the 2022 rename. India launch: 8 March 2016.
