Mahindra's long-running ladder-frame workhorse, based on the Armada Grand and built in-house (Mahindra: ~Rs 20 crore programme) as a 'Break Free' urban UV with independent front suspension, from Rs 4.90 lakh. Introduction dated early August 2000; Mahindra later restated August 2000 (2018). Treated as three generations on the same body-on-frame (2000 Peugeot 2.5; 2007 restyle + Mahindra DI; 8 September 2011 jewelled-lamp third gen), then a 24 March 2020 BS6/crash-norm facelift and a 6 October 2025 RideFlo/touchscreen facelift that is still on sale. RWD 5MT diesel throughout current India retail; 4x4 was historically offered. Bolero Neo (13 July 2021, ex-TUV300) is a related model, not a Bolero generation; FY2023 combined Bolero + Neo 100,577 units (59,166 classic / 41,411 Neo). Sales slug mahindra-mahindra-bolero is the Bolero family: / July 2026 9,336 units. Mahindra PR April 2023: over 1.4 million since 2000 and 1 lakh in FY2023. Nashik and Haridwar. A July 2021 Nashik ~531-unit contaminated-diesel campaign is SIAM-listed against Scorpio mHawk / Thar / Marazzo, not Bolero. Passenger Bolero recalls[] left empty.
