World production debut 7 August 2020 after the February 2020 Auto Expo Sonet Concept. One ICE generation with a 12 January 2024 mid-cycle facelift (Star Map lamps, ADAS, 10.25-inch cluster, six airbags standard). No second generation on sale as of 19 August 2026; spies and a 12 April 2026 report put the K1-platform next-gen around 2027. Venue is the related Hyundai twin, not a Sonet generation. ~4.5 lakh India + export sales by September 2024 (Kia /). No official India SIAM recall row for Sonet as of 19 August 2026. India launch: 18 September 2020.

Venue launched 21 May 2019; Sonet arrived 18 September 2020 as Kia's Venue-class car with Tech Line / GT Line packing.
