Hyundai India's first EV, launched as Kona Electric on 9 July 2019 (introductory Rs 25.30 lakh, CKD). One India body on the map — the first-generation Kona EV (39.2 kWh / 136 hp / 452 km ARAI). Global second-gen Kona Electric was not sold in India. Silently discontinued around mid-2024 (removed from website; Autocar ~21 July 2024) ahead of Creta Electric. No India facelift. No official India SIAM Kona recall inventoried here as of 5 September 2026. India launch: 9 July 2019.
