Facelift generation map
Hyundai's volume city hatch since 20 August 2019, the India-spec third-generation i10 (AI3, Hyundai-Kia K1, built at Chennai) that replaced the Grand i10 (BA) in the retail range. One generation, two bodies on the map: the original 20 August 2019 look (cascading grille, boomerang LED DRLs; 1.2 Kappa petrol/AMT and 1.2 diesel at launch) and the 23 January 2023 facelift (painted-black grille, tri-arrow LED DRLs, connected tail-lamp reflector). Current car is that facelift: 1.2 Kappa petrol 5MT/AMT and factory bi-fuel CNG 5MT; diesel and 1.0 T-GDi left at/before the facelift. Hy-CNG Duo dual-cylinder from 2 August 2024 is a tank layout, not a generation. Vibe Edition (10 April 2026) is a cosmetic pack. Aura is the sedan sibling. Grand i10 BA is the predecessor nameplate, not a Nios generation. No official India Grand i10 Nios recall as of 20 August 2026. India launch: 20 August 2019.
