What the numbers say
June 2026 split the market in two directions.
- ICE dispatches: 362,781 (May: 419,898) — about −13.6% MoM.
- EV dispatches: 29,797 (May: 22,893) — about +30.1% MoM.
That is not a gentle mix-shift. ICE volume stepped back hard while the EV stack accelerated. The open question for July: temporary supply shock (shutdowns, plant issues) versus a lasting change in what buyers want.
